C-TPAT ISO/PAS 17712

American  Seals  is  proud  to  offer  our  customers our certified
ISO/PAS  17712  and  the  test for  it too.  This special test must
be  performed  by  a  laboratory  accredited  by  ISO/IEC  17025.
There  are  several  laboratories  out  there  issuing unauthorized
certificates   that   were   never   approved  by  the  ISO,  neither
approved by US Customs.

In this matter,  there are a lot of fake ISO/PAS 17712 certificates
that   have   been  published  on  the  internet,  creating  a  false
sensation  of  security  and  which mainly originates from the Far
East,  amongst  other  areas. In addition to that, such seals come
without  factory   brand   and  with  an  absolute  lack  of  quality
control, and even though the presentation is  of excellent quality
(for  the  first  time)  and  the prices  are  low, several times they
convince  and  trick honest but naive  customers  that  buy such
seals.

Finally,  this  is  like  a  rule,  if  the  seal  comes  without  brand,
generally   they   do   not   have   an   authentic  ISO/PAS  17712
certificate,  not  even  any  kind  of  quality  control  (The  actual
name  of  the manufacturer is not the one that is hot stamped or
done  by  laser,  is  the one that normally comes out of the mold
with  the  manufacturer's  name  or  otherwise by cold stamping)

We urge customers to ask their supplier for their ISO/PAS 17712
certificate  issued  by  an  authorized  ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory,
this  will  allow  you  to  double  check that such certificate is not
fake.  In  the  instance  of  not meeting those requirements of US
Customs  it can affect the security  of  your  cargo  in  a  negative
manner, also delaying the transportation or release of your cargo.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call us.
Sincerely,

Loss Prevention Manager
